First things first: I know there are endless designs of mobile phone covers that can be bought without having to put any further effort into it. But where’s the fun in that? Creating your own cover is far more fun, more creative, more individual…you can see where I’m going with that, right? The designs you can create are whatever you want them to be. From flowers and leaves to fruits and vegetables, stars and clouds, fairies and unicorns, anything goes. And the best part is of course that it will be completely unique to you! If you don’t fancy doing this for yourself or on your own, why not get the kids involved? Depending on age, they might have a mobile and this will not only protect it but maybe make them a little proud of their own artwork.

Here's what you'll need...

  • mobile phone
  • matching clear plastic cover
  • permanent marker pens in multiple colours

  • 1

Take a photo or screen shot of the image you’d like to use.

  • 2

In your mobile’s settings, set the “auto-sleep” time to ‘never’.

  • 3

Bring your chosen image up in full size. Now place the cover over the front of the phone and clip it on.

  • 4

Now you can trace the entire design straight onto the cover with the marker pens.

  • 5

Once done, just pop the cover onto the back of your phone.

Don’t forget to change the “auto-sleep” function back.
