    Specification

Naturally, the processor has had an upgrade compared to the previous XZ handset and is now powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, compared to the previous 820, 64-bit processor.

The XZ Premium is also now water and dust resistant and is protected from rain and the odd clean off of dirt under the tap. It isn’t however waterproof, so it shouldn’t be completely submerged under water.

    Camera

The battery is optimised to give longer usage and to promote a healthier battery. Smart Stamina technology has been added to the device, which provides an estimate of how long your battery will last, depending on your usage and alerts the user if they are going to run out of power during the day.

Another feature that is expected is Battery Care, which charges your phone to 90% over night, then waits until your usual wake up time and then fully charges your phone to 100%. This will protect your battery from becoming overcharged and therefore your battery should stay healthy for twice as long.

    Resolution

The 4K screen resolution is one of the impressive new improvements added to the Premium handset. This makes for a stunning crystal clear display and is a welcomed improvement. The screen size itself has increased by 0.3 inches, which results in a more pleasant screen to phone ratio.
