About the Samsung Galaxy S7

Announced at the MWC in Barcelona, the Samsung Galaxy S7 was revealed as the latest flagship Smartphone for the South Korean manufacturers. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S7 is crafted from the finest metal and glass and boasts a beautiful 5.1" Quad HD display. The S7 is also the first Galaxy phone to have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating! The camera is 12 MP and has been completely redesigned with Dual Pixel sensor technology, which means it focuses making faster than any other Smartphone on the market. There's also a super bright f/1.7 lens, so photos are sharper and clearer than ever in low light situations. Selfies and video calls are also improved with a 5MP Camera With an octa-core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the most powerful smartphones around. Running on Android Marshmallow 6.1, games, apps, and web browsing run incredibly fast and smooth. There's also a huge 4GB of RAM, which means you can switch between different apps without any lag or drop in performance. Memory-wise there are 32gb or 64gb variants but being microSD compatible, this can be increased to 200 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has improved the battery found in the previous S6 - there's now a 3,000 mAh battery which makes it bigger and more efficient than ever before. The wireless charging (Wireless charging pads available separately) has also been improved, and now a full charge takes just 150 minutes.

Features Of The Samsung Galaxy S7 Series

Beautiful design without
compromising on durability.

The beautiful, innovative curves of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge provide a range of practical benefits. With their rear curved designs and compact dimensions, the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge fit comfortably in one hand, and are the first Galaxy phones to feature capless water and dust resistance (IP68). The unique edge screen provides a range of functions, including the enriched Apps edge and Task edge.

Capture the perfect moment
- in all conditions.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge take better quality pictures even in low light, thanks to a brighter lens (F1.7 ) and larger pixel image sensor (1.4um). The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are the first smartphones to use the latest dual photodiode sensor technology. Instantly focusing on objects, their Dual Pixel 12MP camera is the fastest on the market.

Performance.
More storage, more freedom.

Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have a larger and more efficient battery than ever before. Both support wireless charging for greater convenience on the go. Bigger storage lets you enjoy more of your favorite music and videos. The return of the much-loved microSD slot means the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge support an additional 200 GB of storage.

Crystal Clear Resolution
with Always-On Display.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge screens feature Super AMOLED technology for true-to-nature colors, whilst the Always-On Display (AOD) feature keeps useful information on display when the screen is idle - using less than 1% of battery consumption per hour.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

A shot of my son. I usually try to get a shot of my wife and my son together, but for some reason I have shots of one or the other, which is a bit weird ;) I need to sort that out!

What would your first picture be?

If I had a brand new phone? It’d usually be a shot taken inside, probably in low-light, just to test the camera quality. Usually this ends up being the remote control because it has some brightly coloured buttons ;)

What would your first video be?

Probably the cat chasing one of those laser things. She loves that!

Which app would you first download?

WhatsApp. This seems to be fast overtaking my standard text messaging app and is used by more and more of my friends and relatives on a daily basis.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

My first background picture will probably be Samsung’s default one for a week or so. It’s something fresh, and it’s good for review photos because it will become instantly recognizable. After that, I’ll swap it for a nice landscape picture, or a photo of my kids.

What would your first picture be?

My first picture will probably be of the Galaxy S6 edge+ I’m using at the moment. I have this weird habit of taking a photo of the last phone I was using with the new phone I’m switching to.

What would your first video be?

Providing it’s not raining the day my Galaxy S7 arrives, my first video will be shot in my garden. That’s where I tend to carry out my initial camera tests. I will also shoot some video at my daughter’s birthday party, which happens to fall at the end of launch week.

Which app would you first download?

The first app I download on every new device is CloudMagic. I can login with just one username and password to access all of my accounts, and I don’t miss any important emails while I’m setting other things up.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

I would likely use a hi-res 2k wallpaper from here: Beyond 2k Wallpapers. Personally, the image 11 because it offers lots of rich blacks a variety of colours. Also because the image offers a single person looking to the heavens and makes me think of the personal struggles we all face in life.

What would your first picture be?

My first photo would be of anything and everything nature related, particularly those of brightly coloured flowers.

What would your first video be?

I would take a video of my son dancing or telling stories.

Which app would you first download?

I would want to get in on the Volkan gaming stuff and would aim at high end games. Moonshot is always on the list so that I can play my PC games on my phone.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

A picture of me at the Grand Canyon because I don’t go there every day and want to relive that moment every single day!

What would your first picture be?

My amazing desk toys/figurines from all over the world.

What would your first video be?

Would probably go to the beach and record a video of the waves! The phone’s water resistant too and I don’t have to worry about water damage.

Which app would you first download?

Twitter. As I just want to start telling my followers how awesome the Galaxy S7 is.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

Samsung usually equip the device with a number of backgrounds to show off the screen technology, the most vibrant of these.

What would your first picture be?

Some remote photography from underwater, pictures from the seabed of the user standing over it.

What would your first video be?

Perched on the dashboard of the car to see how well the car handles vibration, rapid changes in light given the path of sunlight and finer details like number plate information of oncoming traffic.

Which app would you first download?

Samsung health app to record running and fitness information.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

I’ve got a picture of my oldest when she was two screaming (happy) while playing in the water. Somehow it’s perfect for almost any setup I’ve ever done as it looks like she’s either eating the icons or yelling at the clock.

What would your first picture be?

The first, I’ll confess I’m pretty lame here, but I have a test image I take - shows depth of field, colour saturation, etc. If I was at the office I’d probably do that, if I was at home chances are good it would be a snoring baby.

What would your first video be?

Above snoring baby, but by accident as I hit the wrong button and then realized five seconds in that there was a reason it didn’t take the picture. Second or third video when I fasten the phone to a motorcycle handlebar probably is the only one people would be interested in seeing.

Which app would you first download?

I’m a really big fan of Chrome Beta. While most Android phones ship with Chrome, I like getting more cutting edge. Probably Trivia Crack Kingdoms after that as I’m managing a channel now.

What would you set as your first background picture/gif and why?

I guess I would set a gif of the John Travolta meme from Pulp Fiction as background to symbolize my shock and disbelief that I finally won something nice for the first time in my life.

What would your first picture be?

A picture of my pebbles from around the world collection.

What would your first video be?

A video of people too busy starring at their own phones to notice that I’m filming them.

Which App would you first download?

Probably Facebook or Twitter, I’m a simple man.
