    Dark Mode saves your battery

Your new iPhone 11 is brimming with cool features you’ll want to start using… a lot! But the downside is, that’s going to start draining your battery. Thankfully, the smart folk at Apple have created Dark Mode to extend battery life. Yep, they think of everything. Dark Mode instantly flips the colour scheme, giving you a true black background and white text. Much easier on the eyes. To activate this feature, open the Control Centre, then tap and hold on to the Brightness bar. In the bottom-left corner, you’ll see a new Dark Mode toggle appear. Tap to enable it. Let the extended-battery force be with you.

Catch all the action in 4K

Holy pixellation! Did you know your iPhone 11 can film in 4K? That’s 4x better than Full HD because it captures, well, 4x more information by using its back sensors. Which means your social media followers are in for a vivid visual treat. 4K needs switching on first though in Settings. So, go there, select Camera, pick Record Video, and switch it to 4K. You’re now ready to roll!

    A snap in the dark

The iPhone 11 lifts camera phone photography to a whole new level. Which isn’t just good for skyline shots! It’ll let you snap natural-looking images filled with detail even when it’s night-time. And you won’t have to read through your manual first to activate it, as Night Mode automatically comes on when the Camera app detects you’re in a dimly lit setting. That’s smart AI looking out for you.

    Switch apps at speed

Multitasking need never be a handful with your iPhone 11. You can switch effortlessly between its apps – just drag from left to right on the bottom of the screen where the bar normally appears. This will launch the previous app you were in, and you can keep going back by continuing to swipe. It’s like your iPhone can turn back time! But to be clear, it can’t really.
