Binatone The Brick Phone

"mobile phone brand Binatone has come up with a retro handset that harks back to the days of yuppies and Filofaxes but with a modern upgrade.” – Wired.co.uk

In celebration of everything retro the Binatone Brick mobile phone is modelled on the handsets of the mid 80’s. Ideal for novelty and nostalgic value, the Binatone works great as a basic mobile phone and would make an ideal back-up or second phone.

Along with reliving 1986’s Yuppy London, the Binatone also has some nifty little endearing features. 300 contacts can be held in the phonebook. Texting and Phone calls work as well as any Smartphone and the design is not the only thing that is “Vintage”, the battery also mimics the older generation of phones by lasting for an incredibly long time. With a standby time of 1 month and talk time of over 14 hours.

Design wise the Brick speaks for itself; it’s big and clunky with a 160x128-pixel display on a 1.8-inch LCD screen, putting a modern twist on the old-school design.

The Binatone Brick also features Bluetooth capability that can be linked with your music on an Android or iOS device. You can store music on the device with an additional MicroSD and there is a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones.
No it’s not a Smartphone, however it’s great fun and at such a budget price, ideal as a second or back up phone.
