MP3 Music Phones
Combining an MP3 player and a mobile phone seems an obvious move. Today’s music mobiles provide a convenient blend of communication and entertainment in a single pocket-sized handset. Most are surprisingly versatile, too – as well as handling MP3 music files, many can play tracks that have been recorded in AAC, WMA and WAV formats.
Mobile Audio Quality
As with dedicated music players, the memory capacity of an MP3 phone is important. Most have a large built-in memory and the option to expand the storage space by using memory cards. You’ll also want to choose a device that’ll play your music in high quality, with Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range, Nokia’s Nseries, Motorola’s ROKR phones and Samsung’s Bang & Olufsen handsets all having a strong focus on audio quality.
Finally, make sure your phone has all the features you’d expect. We’re particularly fond of Bluetooth stereo (the ability to listen to your music using wireless headphones) and mobiles that make it easy for you to transfer your tunes from your PC.
